Scholar & Scribe

Scholar & Scribe

During my travels in the U.S., I was hosted for a special book signing at Scholar & Scribe in Fayetteville, Atlanta. It was my very first official signing, and I was proud to represent Uganda as a young author so far from home. The shop was filled with warmth, quiet excitement, and the kind of Southern hospitality that stays with you. I spent the day meeting readers who wanted to hear about my travels and how Aleem’s Adventures: The Tales of Texas came to life. That’s when I truly felt how stories can connect people across the world.

/ From Writer to Reader

There’s something powerful about watching your words leave your hands and land in someone else’s. I had spent months writing my journey, and suddenly it was printed, held, read. Sitting at the table with my Sharpie, I felt like I was sharing a piece of my story with every person who stopped by, connecting Uganda to the U.S. one page at a time.

/ Moments That Stay with You

The best part of the day was meeting other children who were curious about life in Uganda, about writing, and about how ideas turn into books. They asked questions, shared their dreams, and listened closely as I signed each copy. Every book was signed with my special Sharpie which made each copy feel personal and unforgettable. The book signing was a moment of connection.

Bring the Story Home

I couldn’t return to Uganda without bringing a piece of that experience with me. I have a limited number of hand-signed copies of Aleem’s Adventures: The Tales of Texas, each personally signed with my special Sharpie during the Atlanta event at Scholar & Scribe. Whether you’re a parent looking to inspire curiosity, a young reader dreaming of faraway places, or a book lover who enjoys stories with heart,  the words in these copies carry a journey.

By getting a signed copy, you’re supporting the next chapter of my adventures. Let’s keep the spirit of exploration and storytelling alive right here in Uganda.
